Ex- Doctor Accused of Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care

Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults against 38 victims who were patients.

Details of the Grave Allegations

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.

A senior prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

Scope of the Investigation

The charges come after what police called a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.

The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

List of Charges

The charging documents said the 45 sexual offences include:

• 15 counts of assault.
• Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
• 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
• Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
• 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
